NYI
?Jonathan Quick is coming off a 25 save performance over his former team in the Kings, but Igor Shesterkin (10-6-0, 2.83, .908%) will likely start this one.
?New York Rangers are first in the Metro division, 7 points up on the next closest team (the Flyers)
?Artemi Panarin has seemingly unlocked another gear, as he leads the team in in goals (16), assists (22), and evidently, points (38).
?The Rangers play at Madison Square Garden, which was the site of the first Wrestlemania, where Hulk Hogan and Mr. T defeated "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Paul Orndorff in the main event.  Some people think that Hogan bodyslammed Andre at the Giant at MSG, but that is incorrect.

TOR
?Martin Jones (1-0-0, 6.00 GAA, .900 Sv%) will likely start this one.
?With the Leafs losing in OT on Monday night, look for potential lineup changes in a back-to-back scenario.  One of McMann or Lajoie may come into the lineup.
?The Leafs got a monkey off their back by getting Tavares his 1,000 point against his former team on Monday night, so hopefully there's a little bit less pressure in this one.
?Auston Matthews tied Kucherov for the league lead in goals on Monday night with his 19th, and still has 3 games in hand.  Potential to move ahead of Kuch in this game.

Oh oh, 'few guys sick'. That's bad.
McMann is back in the lineup. That's good!
Playing on back-to-back nights. That's bad.
Undefeated Jones gets the start tonight.

If Jones or Samsanov falter, the Beast is on a tear right now.  Just won 2-1 on 21 shots.  1.80 GA.  .927 save%  good for 2nd in league.

Great work, Louis.  Throwing in a mention of Rowdy Roddy Piper gets you instant HOF consideration.

Thanks everyone!  My shade thrown at Jimmy Vesey is my favourite part. :P

He is like twice as good with NYR than he was with us.
Hilariously, that means he's a 10 goals, 20ish pts guy. Shooting the lights out a bit in the early goings here.

Regardless of who is in if they don't tighten up defensively going to be a long night.

Not sure if they will bring him up at all this year unless we have more injuries. I don't think he's ready. Give him some more time in the minors. Someone posted can't remember where that rebound control is an issue. Looks like we have a good one but they won't rush him.

Amazing

Love going with the more tiring 11/7 on B2B (means the defense is banged up more than the forwards are tired)

Cue up the Gregorian Chants.  Top line combines for 6 points leading us to a 5-1 shellacking of the overweening Rangers.

20 years since they've had a B2B in the Big Apple.  Makes all kinds of marketing/excitement sense.

This is just the best part of the whole thread!

The best part of Hogan slamming Andre is he was like the 5th or 6th person to do it.
