R2, G1: Panthers @ Maple Leafs - May 5th, 8:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

The stretcher was totally Theater for DOPS.

Perhaps

What i heard at Scotia is that he puked just as he left the ice on the way to the lockerroom (was this reported?).......which indicates Concussion. Which is from my understanding minimum 2 weeks rest protocol.

So Stolarz is likely removed from this series.

And I couldn't see what Tkachuk did to Woll...but I read it was also an elbow attempt to the head.

WTF?

Just some likely precautionary stuff. Bennett hit him in the head and extended neck. Concussion, whiplash, a stinger, lots of possible causes. A spinal fracture, a carotid dissection, and a lot of other things. At that point going to the ER by EMS is most prudent so it doesn't necessarily mean it's worse than "just a concussion"

At the same time injuring a goalie should come with automatic modifiers for punishment. I'm looking forward to the 5k fine
Would this be consistent with a rabbit punch?

The video angle at Scotia Bank arena of Bennetts elbow to Stolarz back of the head was different than what they showed on TV. From the angle above the play, its very obvious the elbow to the back of the head was particularly hard (with a lot of force) and deliberate.

The rest was not theatrics. You can't fake puke. Puke reveals concussion. Concussion is 2 weeks rest protocol. Stolarz therefore has been deliberately eliminated from this series with a dirty shot. Ergo Bobrovsky has to he eliminated with a shot meant to injure.

I hope Reaves does it. I hope he connects hard. And someone beats up Bennett too.

If Reaves is particularly skilled, he could take out Bob and then start a fight and beat the shit out of someone from Florida to injure him.

On ESPN they showed the moment that Stolarz puked as Woll was entering the game.

Hope Stolarz gets well soon.

as for Revenge, best one is to win this series.

Just watched some other videos, the initial contact wasn't the elbow but his glove, so we'll see what DoPS does but a sucker punch to the head had better be at least 2 games.
As for retaliation I'm also on the side of just win the series, I think bringing Reaves in for a game would be a mistake. GO LEAFS!!!

This Matthews shooting thing is driving me nuts. It's like the rest of his game is 120% and when he gets the puck it's 40%. He should have scored on that great Knies rubout in the 2nd. And the EN? Jeebus.
Accuracy is often the last thing to come back when recovering from an injury that impacts your shot. Like you said, the rest of his game is going great. We're starting to see him stealing the puck with those little stick lifts we didn't see much in the regular season. His shot strength is coming back, too. I'd say basically, outside of shooting accuracy, he's mostly back to normal.

That was what I figured. Better to take an abundance of caution with head/neck injuries, regardless of the optics.
