Thing is both were penalties weak or not. Why give the refs any reason to call something? OEL didn't need to do anything there. Dumb play by him and Kampf too.
 
I was a bit worried when I saw four pages and it was only 8pm. That usually only happens when the Leafs are playing poorly. Good to see it is a close game.
 
I get it, they're playing a good team, but in general they almost never carry play this year.

I haven't checked the stats but I'd bet they're below 50%xG on the season.

I really don't expect them to do much in the post season unless they go on an insane run to end the season.

I like that Berube and Tree have made them heavier, but if you're regularly the worst team on the ice in terms of creating chances, you can't win over the long haul.

I think they probably need Cowan to be a star if this group has a chance in the coming years.
 
Benoit has more to give. We are seeing the effort and passion move up a gear. Let's hope one more gear after this for late April.

Quicker puck movement is necessary against their PK
