Jimmy Hayes

He seemed like one of those boom or bust kind of prospects.  He's currently 10 games into his pro season but man is he ever fitting in well with Chicago.
7 points in 10 games.  16 shots over that span and 24 hits.

We got Brad Ross with the 2nd round pick we got for trading him, but that's not looking like a great trade-off in the very early going.

I was a little upset when they moved Hayes - he was, at one point, a potential high 1st round pick his draft year, so, the potential was always there. However, if Ross can come in and be a Darcy Tucker type (20+ goals while driving the other team nuts), then I think we'll look back at it as a trade where both teams won.

I can't help but think this is a Stempniak-ish temporary streak. His stats will probably level off, based on his AHL numbers.

He hasn't been in the AHL long enough to really draw much of a conclusion from those numbers.

True, but that doesn't change my skepticism that he can maintain his current pace.
