There is a game tonight, yes?  If someone has time to start a proper GDT, my thanks, and mods please delete this.  If not, feel free to use this thread.

This is a pretty significant game.  Leafs are close to catching them.

Unless Washington gets their act together or Winnipeg gets on a streak, the Leafs won't be passing Florida at any point, unless, by some miracle, they also pass Boston.

Three winnable road games this week and then 9 of 10 at home. This is going to be a very important stretch. I'm optimistically hoping for a 9-4 record during those games.

Flordia got beat 8-zip by Boston last game, and with them having a better record then us, makes me worry about this game tonight. good teams that get blowen out most often come back hard the next game.

If the Leafs win tonight they are 1 pt behind FLA with the same amount of games played. But, of course there is the division leader thing so...

Busta is confident that Florida will be leaders in the Southeast for some time to come.  Hence, we would need to pass boston in order to climb over florida in the standings.  I hope it happens that way too ;D

Well, they do have a 6 point cushion to work with. I certainly wouldn't be betting against them winning the division right now.

Catching them in terms of points percentage is good enough for me.

I predict a lacksidasical effort tonight as the boys come out too full from Christmas turkey. 4-1 Panthers.

I wonder do they eat turkey in Florida??

Do they have Christmas in Florida???

No they don't, I am sure I read that somewhere, they are the only state that doesn't celebrate it.  I am sure that while the Leafs were scarfing down Grandma's hot sugar fudge pudding smothered in gravy the Panthers were on the treadmill.

No Stephan Weiss for the Panthers tonight. Here's how their forward group looked like in practice:

Fleischmann-Matthias-Bradley
Kopecky-Santorelli-Versteeg
Barch-Kennedy-Repik
Thomas-Cullen-Dadanov

They are missing a ton of forwards right now (Weiss, Bergenheim, Upshall, Goc, Skille, Samuelsson, Sturm). We can't lose points in this game.
