NHL.com has some short videos of Tomas' day with the Stanley Cup. You can check them out here:

The only reason I paid attention to the Final.  I dislike both teams, but hoped to see one of my favourites, Tomas Kaberle, get the cup.

I got goosebumps when it was passed to him.  I thought that it was classy, that, although he was just a "rental player" he was still 3rd or 4th to get the cup.

Congrats Tomas.  Good luck in Carolina.

I thought it was classy too, I was thinking he might be down near the end because of his reduced role.

It seems the players really respect those who have put in their time in the league, or perhaps he was really good in the room and his role was bigger than his ice time would indicate.

Typically teams hand the cup off from oldest to youngest.

This is kind of one of those "this pic cannot be explained" pics.  Why hasn't anyone said something about the guy with the pink pig overalls and what the deal was with that?

He's got 2 assists in 12 games with Carolina and a -3.

:-\

Brophy thinks much the same thing
"Liles has produced as advertised, scoring three goals and 12 points while giving the Leafs 22 minutes of mostly solid play per game. At the end of the day, he's been a big upgrade from Tomas Kaberle -- faster, more skilled offensively and more interested in playing the game"

I was pulling for Kaberle last night to light it up against the Habs,  but no, pointless and a -2 in a loss. Thanks Tomas.

Kypreos on Hockeycentral just now saying folks in Carolina believe Kaberle is overweight and out of shape. Unless there is some medical reason for this, I'd say he just isn't into playing hockey at the level we were used to seeing him play at.

I assume he just didn't train as hard in the summer after winning the Cup.  Reached the pinnacle and all that, it's human nature I suppose.

I suspect issues in his personal life are emotionally weighing him down.
