2026 Blue Jays

Incoming Voth DFA
I feel bad for him. He's terrible. We have another bullpen game on Sunday because literally everyone is injured.

Yet another pathetic effort from the offense. Chasing the first pitch over and over again.

That was tough to watch, and I turned the game off after the top of the 6th, couldn't watch it anymore.

Wrong move...good for them.

Jays at .500 is good for 6th place in the AL.

That .500 record would be good for 11th place in the NL.

So, like the reverse of the Leafs this past season.

Another patented John Schneider loss.

Up 5-1 in the 9th. Hoffman gets hit around and he waits until its 5-4 with the bases loaded and only 1 out to pull him...for Seabold...who proceeds to walk in the tying run and give a walkoff hit.

He's trigger happy to pull guys in the 6th inning and lets Hoffman (and Little last year) throw the Jays out of games.

What are they going to do about Hoffman?
His highs are really high. He just can't be used in those late leverage situations and they need to start treating him like a middle reliever. If he's dealing, he stays in the game, but they need to have a guy ready to come in because when he doesn't have the zone, he walks guys and then gets hit around.

I don't blame Hoffman for the 9th on Saturday. I blame Schneider for watching him take a game from 5-1 to 5-4 with the bases loaded. There was absolutely no reason to keep him in the game to face 7 batters at that point. He clearly didn't have it and Schneider punted the game in favour of the bullpen game the next day...where the Jays had to punt that game too.

Win the game you have the chance to win and worry about having DFA nobody pitch an extra inning on Sunday where you can demote/release them.

Why the team didn't call up a spot starter..even if they weren't going to be good when you have 2 of 3 games as bullpen days is beyond me.

In over 200 at bats Vlad has 3 home runs. Man, something needs to change here. He isn't adjusting or changing his approach, can't touch the ball anywhere near the barrel of the bat...Imagine if Matthews was sitting at 3 goals after 30 games or so? Media would be going BONKERS

Hoffman needs to stay out of ninth inning save spots. Varland or Rogers for the foreseeable future. Yimi Garcia in the mix whenever he returns. The Jays also need to call up a starter. They are going to blow arms out with 2 rotation spots being bullpen days.

I think this is a bad team. For a team that is supposed to be good defensively it's pretty mediocre. They don't run the bases well. They don't hit for power. It just seems like a poorly designed team that is desperately missing a middle of the order bat

There are some bright spots, but they're going to burn up their bullpen and they'll have nothing left by September.

They desperately need Cease and Bieber back in the rotation, and Vladdy needs to start hitting homeruns on the daily..or at least somebody does.
