?After a somewhat slow start Connor Bedard is now living up to the hype. He has 16 points in 17 games and is on pace for 48 goals
?Corey Perry has been weirdly M.I.A. in Chicago the past few days. He was a healthy scratch in their last game which was described as an "organizational decision" and then did not participate in their practice on Thursday. Lots of speculation around that but Chicago is not saying anything more about it yet

?Timmins is expected to make his season debut with the Leafs after a pre-season injury has kept him out of the line-up to this point
?Jarnkrok took a shot off the leg at practice on Wednesday that stung him and kept him out of practice on Thursday. Keefe called him a game-time decision for this game. If he doesn't play Ryan Reaves or perhaps the newly called up Alex Steeves will replace him on the roster

He will be indoctrinated anyway. It took me 5 years after returning to Canada to make my Son a fanatic. And he is a Caribbean born boy.

I guess the question would be why.  Why do we give charity games to players who are clearly below the standard of NHL play simply because they punch things.  The 4th line has been so much better since he came out of the lineup and now we get to go back to having a 4th line that has a defensive anchor, doesn't generate any offense and also makes 80% of Kampf's value useless.

Congrats on the excellent AHL play Alex Steeves.  Now sit and learn how to play NHL hockey from Ryan Reaves.
 
Leafs are looking great in the early going.  What a bizarre thing to see them start on time.
