    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

New Jersey probably has the edge considering Mehta's connection there already. It'd be a little ironic seeing them hire both Shanahan and Mehtra though, as well as having Keefe still there for the time being. Almost Leafs 2.0. It's possible that benefits the Leafs though if Mehta thinks he could...

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Yeah that will make handling the goalie situation pretty trick. I think Stolarz would still be trade-able, there's always Edmonton right, but this likely really hurts his value. And I think it makes Woll less-tradeable for the Leafs since shockingly he's the less injury prone one now it feels...

    Islanders vs. Leafs - Apr. 9th, 6:45pm - TSN4

I feel obligated to note that while I repeated what Berube said re: Groulx, I don't think it's actually true. He's only played 4 games while under "emergency recall" and the Leafs would be able to 9 out of him before requiring waivers again. So I imagine there's a little miscommunication there.

Mr. "T" Man of the Match 2026 Edition

Rielly HM Tavares I can't believe this was one of the few games I've watched recently. I'll give it to the guys who at least dominated possession tonight (27-9 for Mo, 23-8 for JT)

That might be a good thing if the Leafs want to circle back on him in the offseason.

Also not going to be able to see if his second playoffs would be a repeat of his first now. Not good news for his agent.

2025-26 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

Man what happened to Seattle. They were in a playoff spot at the deadline. Since then they're 3-11-2 and being outscored 69-41. Really thrown an unexpected wrench into our bottom-5 hopes.

    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

I know I've said that we shouldn't put a significant amount of stock in the early names being thrown around, but I do think we're headed toward a Gillis+Mehta hiring. Or at least one of them.

    John Tavares: HOF?

My simplistic take is that I think Tavares is a pretty borderline case. I'd probably have him on the very high end of the Hall of Good personally, but considering standards seem to be slipping a little (Roenick) I think JT will definitely get in eventually.

    2025-26 Marlies Thread

Weird season for Nansi: 34 points in 23 games then 4 points in 23 games then 18 points in 21 games He's still young and more than doubled his point totals so not bad for a 5th round pick, just wonder what happened in that late-November through January stretch of games.

    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

Going after Gillis' character by linking him to the Frost mess (something like zero other people in hockey have done) the day before writing a puff piece on Roberto Alomar is classic Steve Simmons.

His previous interviews with other teams would suggest that he isn't even interested in a GM role.

    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

As herman/Lebrun said, the Leafs haven't even found their search firm yet and seem prepared for this proceed to take 1-2 months. So I don't really think the names being thrown around right now are super relevant. This isn't like last time where Treliving's name was everywhere early and he was...

    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

I somewhat jokingly brought this name up earlier but considering Pelley gave the Sabres a shoutout I wouldn't be shocked if Kevyn Adams was at least given an interview here.

    Leafs Front Office 2026-27

These were my picks before Treliving was hired: Mehta essentially replaces Tulsky there. Gillis remains but I doubt we could get Gilman out of his deal with Columbus after only being hired there a few months ago even with a promotion. I still think my Garth Snow x-factor pick would be fun.
