Expecting him to dominate games on both ends of the ice is probably unrealistic at this point in his career. But we really haven't had many of those games where he ends up with 2-3 breakaways and just skates circles around the offensive zone where no-one can come close to knocking the puck off...

The Nylander aloof comments carry a lot more weight when he is dominating on the ice. I don't know if he's playing hurt or just in a slump but even with his OT winner last night this has been a stretch of pretty uninspiring play overall.

Open ended. It could be as simple as bronchitis and he's sick. It could be as severe as a hemo/pneumothorax or pulmonary embolism.

The roster is so banged up now that losses aren't even unfair to have. If they lose tomorrow that would be an acceptable loss. They need to find a way to get some unacceptable wins however. No excuses. Find a way to win.

My personal favourite is still Renberg losing a fight with his skate lace and getting an infection.

Carlo wasn't great last year after we acquired him either so I'm not going to write off his play as all injuries but I do hope that he was playing through something. Benoit missed time at the start of camp too so injury might explain a bit of the the foot speed/gap closure issues the Leafs...

Only thing is I'm not sure that applies when you only put a solid effort in that one game. Although to be fair they mostly played fine. Myers was directly involved in 2 of the 3 goals and should never see the ice again.

That wasn't really a risk though. It was an unforced luck over the glass that wouldn't have generated a play up the ice if he had just slid the puck up the ice.

Listening to the broadcast actively rooting for Chicago so flipping unacceptable. Every thing that goes the Lwafs way is them getting away with one. Benoit gets high sticked and Simpson's language is that he felt he got high sticked and had to correct himself.

They absolutely did. They got credited for zero shots in the insane 2-3 minute of back and forth play. I don't understand why the NHL is so inept at so many facets of sports

Chicago isn't a great team so this isn't anything special but this is a much better effort overall
