    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

Game 2 notes I only had the one-ish period of viewing, but immediately, John Prokop looked better than Cade Webber did in last year's games. I like the idea of Holinka on the wing, even though he is currently situated as a 2-way C. Sam McCue looking lost is a bit disappointing, but not too...

    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

https://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/maple-leafs-prospect-report-standouts-from-the-prospect-challenge 2 games doesn't say too much. Some clearly struggled with the pace and physicality of the better prospect pipelines they were facing (bottom feeder NHL teams). Some rose to the occasion and put...

    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

I only caught the first period. Valis got a cushy starting job but was clearly not ready for the pace of play. The centres were good. The NCAA guys were more ready-looking at this juncture. If Quillan can hold down 4C regularly, Laughton could be a good LW option for Tavares-Nylander.

    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

Just for visual shorthand while watching games with unfamiliar names, the Marlies players are in the 30-50s range of numbers. Anyone freshly brought in by draft and still junior, or slated for ECHL will likely have a higher number. Some exceptions: Danford is still junior eligible but is...

Danford erases a rush, and promptly springs Cowan for a very nice rush and slot pass. Linemate can’t cash.

    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

Top line of Valis - Quillan - Cowan has both wingers playing on their off wing. Sens strike first 3 min in on their first real foray into the Leafs zone. Tipped off a Leaf stick in front I think.

This is so filthy His accuracy and breadth of speeds allows him to pitch deep into games with essentially only two pitches (FB, Splitter, and like a handful of sliders).

    Armchair GM Thread 2025/26

My guess is that after the season opens and rosters settle a little, Kampf and Robertson will be moved out (a la Liljegren), and Roslovic will be signed, if no one else ponies up anything he likes.

    Ranking Prospects 2025-26

Me too! I was a bit surprised that Berube kept some configurations rather locked in throughout the year, even after several seasons'-worth of signs that it could be stale in the postseason and they'd need to build/test options. Turns out, per MLHS, it stemmed from a situation that was out of the...
